Back to the grind

So this is it, the last big run. Although the semester is just starting we're really getting into the home stretch around the office. Only a few days back and I'm heavy into planning this semester's events. Maybe this would be the time where I could look ahead and say, "well the job is almost finished so I can start to take it easy." But I would much prefer to look at it and say, "well the job is almost finished so here is my last big chance to make an impression and put my stamp on things." That's just what I'll be attempting to do.

This month (Two weeks from today) our winter carnival will be getting under way. This is our chance to work for students and remind them that although we're all back hard at work, we're here to have fun as well. Myself, the DSU and our committees will be doing our best to emphasize this in the next little while.

Winter Carnival this year will include a charity open mic in support of Shinerama, fully loaded with our very special DALebrity judges. Sue Johanson from the Sunday Night Sex Show will be making here annual appearance here at Dalhousie on Thursday the 22nd and be sure not to miss the Music Society Night at the Grawood as well as our Annual Charity Ball on Saturday the 24th. Check out Facebook and dsu.ca (update to come) for more information on this and other events.
